Description
The R-315 Attack Robot is a robotics platform that is highly armored and always equipped with destructive weaponry. They are usually come in red and yellow variants but can also appear with other colors and even have logos of manufacture. Standard equipment includes:
Osiris Thermal Vizor
Lets an attack robot visualize targets within a certain distance as well as contain tracking software.
Gas Powered Chaingun
Primary weapon, can fire multiple rounds in a quick session. Can have an optional rocket launcher addon.
Stag Battleaxe
A huge battleaxe that can not only be used to damage targets at close range, but can also act as a shield to protect itself from return fire.
Metal Shell Armor Encasing
A mixture of ceramics and metal, this encasing helps protect vital functions of the robot from harm, and is very effective at making it immune to small arms fire.
History
They were originally used by the cyborg named “Campaigner”, and are now used by cities, despots, and warlords all around the Lost Land. They have been used in a variety of ways from ambushes to simple territorial defense over the years. There are also some accounting instances of roaming Attack Robots that appear to not be patrolling but are indeed without a master, though these claims have not been proven thus far.
Behavior
Being robotic, an R-315’s movements are calculated. They do not do anything outside their programming and that also is true for their “thinking”. Hunt and destroy patterns revolve around staying in formation while corralling an target. This simplistic battle strategy has a meta-purpose of overwhelming a target considering how formidable an Attack Robot is.
Battle Stratagem and Threat Level
Keeping distance is key when confronting an Attack Robot. Small arms like bows and pistols are ineffective against their armor, using explosives is best although a minigun or weapon capable of rapid fire can be a good alternative. Always be on the move when trying to dodge their weaponry, being slow and stationary is their weakness, so use it against them.
R-315s are almost universally used and pose a great danger as many rouge armies use them as shock troopers to hurt or harm others with little risk and cost. As such, great attention is provided to any sightings of R-315 movements to warn any settlements before an attack occurs.
